This is a peep into my sock drawer. It’s home to eight pairs of handknit socks. That’s a pair for every day and two on Sundays.
I’m very proud of these socks but to be honest this drawer is really not very inspiring.
And it’s full.
I don’t want to stop knitting now but are there other knitworthy people who’d appreciate such socks?
A little reorganisation and ta-dah! I seem to have too few pairs of socks 😉

I only have one pair of hand knit socks in my drawer thus far. I’m hoping this will change over the next year or so… 🙂

And what a pair of socks it is! Marvellous. I’ve not done any fancy colourwork yet so you’re miles ahead of me in that respect!

I was totally afraid of colourwork for a long time, but it’s way easier than I initially thought. It takes some focus and it’s a lot slower than most other knitting, but it’s totally easy, especially with two colours. I may eat my words when I try three or four colours, though.

My opinion: I think you can have too many cars, power tools, fishing tackle, fishing rods, tennis rackets, golf clubs and such like. You can NEVER have too many hand knitted socks, jumpers, scarves and of course shoes. They’re beautiful.

You can’t have too many – imagine you needed to change your socks twice every day or your washing machine broke down. You’d need more than 8 pairs then!

Your drawer of Handmade Socks is something to be very proud of… a great accomplishment ! I have only knit a handful of pairs at this point, and have yet to make a pair for myself. 🙂
