About Soknitsome

So knitsome … So knit some

I rarely sit with idle fingers. Travelling, waiting, chatting, watching, listening. If I can focus on what’s around me, and it’s not socially inappropriate to do so, then I might well knit.

I learnt to knit as a child of nine or ten, did a bit and then dropped it. I picked it up again as a teenager, did a bit and dropped it (repeat several times).

Many years later, on my return to Europe, I started again when I joined an international English-speaking women’s group*. This time I didn’t stop…

*The American International Women’s Club of Cologne: An English-speaking social network with a charitable calling, the AIWCC is an organization dedicated to providing information, sharing experiences, meeting new friends and engaging in fun activities, all while helping others along the way.

Sounds like me and my knitting. I’ve been crocheting all these years, and am only now really concentrating on expanding my knitting knowledge. Thanks for the visit and the follow!

You’ve some beautiful knitwork here. I used to knit so much when I was younger and this reminds me that it’s a skill I’ve neglected, which is rather sad. Now I’m determined to knit something during the Easter holidays, even if it is just a scarf for a teddy bear. Thank you for reminding me!

  3. Thanks so much for following me! Unfortunately it was just after I moved my blog – when you have a moment, come and visit me at http://www.monsteryarns.co.uk/links/
I won’t be posting anymore in the wordpress.com blog.

  4. Nice to meet you 🙂

  5. Thanks for following my blog. Some stupendous knitting here. My wife is also an avid knitter. It never ceases to amaze me how needles, knots and wool can be combined to produce such elegant stuff. More power to you.
